At this point in the day, I was pretty exhausted and sick. I was having
fantasies about Fisherman's Friend lozenges and really wanting to sleep!
Anyway, these pictures are from Loch Ard Gorge. This is another example of
water and wind carving soft limestone formations.
There is a story about a shipwreck related to this place, but I'm sure that
this link tells the story better than my memory does. What I DO remember
about it was that the waves crashing against the opening of the gorge
were really stunning, particularly from the beach.
