The day after my course ended, I took off on a vacation to Austria.
Luckily, my friend Katharina, who escaped from Purdue this Spring, lives
in Vienna and was both willing to show me around and to give me a place
to crash. It was lovely and relaxing, and, as things almost always are with
Katharina, lots of fun. We spent two days in Vienna, and then went to Graz,
where Katharina had gone to university. Graz is a really nice town - about
30 miles from the Slovenian border, and really pretty. Sadly, I managed to
miss seeing the Arnold Schwartzenegger stadium (seriously - it was his hometown,
so I guess that fits), but I'm sure I'll live. Afterwards, it was back to
Vienna for the night and off to Munich to meet two of my friends from my
German class for a couple of days of travelling fun back in Germany.
