So after knowing each other for five years, and dating for four of them,
Christian and I decided to get married. It happened over the space of a
long time, and neither of us can really figure out exactly when it
happened - just that it did!
Given that neither of us stands much on ceremony, it's sort of amusing
that a wedding happened at all, let alone two of them! We got married
in Germany both for a bunch of administrative reasons and so that
Christian's family could participate, and we got married in the US
so that we could share our happiness with my family and our friends.
Since everyone who marries in Germany has to (at least) do a civil
marriage, we did the civil ceremony in Germany and the church
ceremony in the US.
